The Avotus Site contains links to websites owned by third parties. Please be aware that Avotus is not responsible for the privacy practices of these sites. This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by this Site. Avotus encourages Users to read the privacy statements of each website they visit when leaving the Avotus Site.
Avotus takes precautions to protect User information. When Users submit sensitive information via the Site, their information is protected both online and offline.
When an Avotus registration/order form asks Users to enter sensitive information (such as their credit card number and/or social security number), that information is encrypted using the best encryption software in the industry—SSL. While on a secure Avotus page, the “lock” icon at the bottom of the web browser appear to be locked; this is in contrast to the unlocked icon that appears when Users view unsecured pages.
In addition to using SSL encryption to protect sensitive User information online, Avotus also takes extensive measures to protect User information offline. All User information (including non-sensitive data) is restricted to the Avotus offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific task (e.g., billing clerks, customer service representatives, etc.) are granted access to personally identifiable information.
